Four steps, and three of them are ours.

Bring your mobile, broadband or landline across. You keep your number, and you do not cancel anything. Tell us what you are moving and we take it from there.

Pick your plan, then tell us where to move it from.

No payment here. We check the order, confirm what your address can get and come back to you before anything moves.

Pick as many as you need. They land in your order below, and you can take anything back out of it.

What you are ordering

Nothing in the order yet. Add a plan from mobile, broadband or business, or pick one above.

Who you are

When you would like it to happen

Transfers run on business days, between 8am and 5pm, and not on the day you order. The earliest we can offer is the next working day.

This is a preference, not a booking. We can work to it as long as the details above are right and the transfer runs cleanly. If anything comes back wrong, or your current provider holds it up, we will ring you rather than let the date slide quietly.

Your current invoice

Your latest bill from your current provider tells us the account number, the plan you are on and what you are paying. PDF, JPG or PNG.

No payment is taken here and nothing moves until we have spoken. We come back to you the same day.

The move, one step at a time.

The longest part is waiting for a text.

1

You tell us what you are moving

Mobile, broadband or landline, and the date you would like it to happen. One form, or one phone call if you would rather talk to someone.

You reply YES to one text

A security text arrives from 2542 asking you to approve the transfer. Reply YES within two hours and it goes ahead. Reply NO, or ignore it, and nothing moves. That is what stops anyone taking your number without your say so.

We handle your old provider

You do not cancel anything. Cancelling early is the one thing that breaks a transfer. We deal with them, keep you posted, and tell you the moment your number is live with us. Two things we will come back to you about: we sometimes need to confirm the plan you are on, and now and then a provider insists on hearing it from you directly. If that happens we tell you exactly what to say.

Your number is live with us

Nothing about the way you are reached has changed. Your number came with you, your old provider sends one final bill of their own, and there is no fixed term holding you here on a home plan.

Done

Six things that decide whether it goes smoothly.

Before you start, what we will ask you for

  • The name of your current provider.
  • Confirmation that you are the account holder.
  • Your account number, or your SIM details on prepay.
  • Your ICCID if you are on an eSIM.
  • Which services you want moved.
  • The date you would like it to happen.

The rules of the port

  • Your services need to still be active with your current provider for a transfer to work.
  • Do not request a disconnection. We manage the transfer from this end.
  • Check whether your current contract has an exit fee or a notice period left to run.
  • Your old provider may still send you a final bill after the move.
  • The security text comes from 2542. Reply YES within two hours, or the port cancels.
  • For fibre, a cancellation has to reach us before 1pm the day before the transfer date.
